Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Svante Vase's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Dinu Dabija took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Vase in the 28th minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by G16 ⚽️NEGRELE⚽️'s Svante Vase. But to his dismay, Svante Vase quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Svante Vase in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Svante Vase took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remus Boștină during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when G16 ⚽️NEGRELE⚽️ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remus Boștină didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 58th minute Michael Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Svante Vase in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
