Rosario Cabrera might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 17th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Verdeja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after MI EQUIPO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Franco Verdeja quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. If Nerio Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nerio Leal in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Verdeja was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nerio Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 黄竞枫. MI EQUIPO's Franco Verdeja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 82nd minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
