George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. CD Municipal's George Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Alvarenga in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Gröhe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Martino Armona might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Gröhe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martino Armona ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Enrique Cassaretto sped through Arsenal de Gols F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Gröhe. Betão Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Enrique Cassaretto struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Marcelo Gröhe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Municipal. 47 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ye Liang.

1-2 became the score in the 52nd minute when Ye Liang elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CD Municipal's Ryota Miyagi was substituted for Zlatan Molina. CD Municipal's Peter Haber was substituted for Evtim Kúrdzhev. CD Municipal's Oalo Dean was substituted for Enrique Cassaretto. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Alvarenga in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Oalo Dean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gröhe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Arsenal de Gols F.C booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Puja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arsenal de Gols F.C's Fábio Secco was substituted for Jan-Joost Grootjans. Arsenal de Gols F.C's Elias Siqueira was substituted for Raimundo Alvarenga. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Federico Puja hit a great ball. Arsenal de Gols F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronaldão Orange in the 76th minute. After taking down the ball on Arsenal de Gols F.C's corner Ronaldão Orange fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and George Forsyth quite easily take care of the ball. Elias Siqueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Forsyth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. CD Municipal's attentive Federico Puja managed to snatch the ball when Guga de Mendonça made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, Oalo Dean dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Gröhe, 1-3. George Forsyth came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal de Gols F.C's Elias Siqueira. But to his dismay, Elias Siqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. George Forsyth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Siqueira in the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded CD Municipal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arsenal de Gols F.C.
