The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Magno Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Mina went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Magno Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Milagros Fraga hit a great ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Panno in the 19th minute of play. 邱邦岚 hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play forced Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Magno Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Magno Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valério Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Magno Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efraim Gilabert kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valério Meireles got free with Rolando Noboa in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Magno Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Rolando Noboa was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Dave Panno capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dave Panno really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Magno Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. In the 55th minute, Dito das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Magno Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Meireles in the 60th minute of play. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Magno Correia made a huge save. Magno Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 67th minute of the match. Magno Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Magno Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mamutes EC's Dito das Neves got a free kick in the 77th minute. Magno Correia was a little too slow when Julian Murillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 1-2. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Mamutes EC's Aírton Freire was substituted for Dito das Neves. Magno Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 95th minute. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
