Faro querandi were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Honduras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Serafin Eufemio took the corner. Moises Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Roque Gabon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Faro querandi's Roque Gabon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 21st minute of play. Nahuel Molina kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Silverio Calvet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Roque Gabon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Moises Tafalla got a free kick in the 30th minute. Silverio Calvet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Faro querandi getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Nahuel Molina hit a great ball. Roque Gabon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luca Espinar in the 34th minute. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Pandilovski in the 35th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Silverio Calvet put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Silverio Calvet took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 44th minute, Silverio Calvet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Segundo Salvino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nahuel Molina hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Gabon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Igor Pandilovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silverio Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Faro querandi made a substitution. Felipe Vedillo replaced Ali Asım Reşat. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silverio Calvet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 70 minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roque Gabon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roque Gabon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Nahuel Molina hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Calvet in the 93rd minute of play. Edmundo Espiga kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
