In the 4th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Saul Coira charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saul Coira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, Saul Coira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Montero. Mandrake fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Apolo Montero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Huguet kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The audience cheered when Daniel Zorita's long shot passed Apolo Montero's right side. It was 0-4, 27 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Mandrake fc's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Apolo Montero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Montero having to make a save. Mandrake fc's Apolo Montero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. If Jago Abasalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 minutes of play Mandrake fc's Saul Coira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Apolo Montero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Herauso Sarro made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After 58 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Mandrake fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes Mandrake fc got a freekick which was hit by Herauso Sarro. In the 69th match minute, Mandrake fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tulio Saura to maneuver through the defense. Apolo Montero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Apolo Montero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Apolo Montero, 1-6. 78 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Apolo Montero. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. When Juan Sebastián Puig was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mandrake fc:s goal. In the 86th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of play forced Mandrake fc's goalkeeper Apolo Montero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th match minute, Mandrake fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herauso Sarro to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 1-8 from a short distance just to the right of Apolo Montero. In the 100thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mandrake fc's Apolo Montero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
