The nice shot from Cristian Sancho in the 4thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Bartosz Ziemniak had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Bartosz Ziemniak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Bartosz Ziemniak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a defensive mix-up in Fractal FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartosz Ziemniak came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fractal FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Isidro Garin took the corner. Fractal FC's Arturo Lorien was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Fractal FC's Pedro Odon got a free kick in the 26th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Bartosz Ziemniak threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Daniel Zorita this time. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bartosz Ziemniak was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 36 minutes into the match, Fractal FC's Fernan Ler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Misael came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernan Ler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rolando Misael struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fractal FC. Silvio Dayam hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Ziemniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Fractal FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Ler in the 61st minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Ler came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera had great luck who in the 62ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Fernan Ler from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Fernan Ler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Fractal FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Isidro Garin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fractal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidro Garin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bartosz Ziemniak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 92 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bartosz Ziemniak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The Ecuador manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Fractal FC to win.
