Ralph Roeles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Norbert Skrzypek got a free kick in the 29th minute. Ralph Roeles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Sebastián Puig in the 33rd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Norbert Skrzypek hit a great ball. In the 41st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 44th minute, Tarvi Koop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt Petersson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralph Roeles was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan de Vlieger to make the kick off. Ralph Roeles made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Luis Andino to fire away a dangerous shot which Ralph Roeles despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 53 minutes into the game, Luis Andino lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Ralph Roeles. In the 57th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Caiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Szegh to maneuver through the defense. Ralph Roeles acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Felix Montenegro. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ralph Roeles having to make a save. Ralph Roeles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Zebastian Bergfeldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 73 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Petersson in the 74th minute of play. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Emiliano Caiola got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 80 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ralph Roeles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Caiola in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the match Julias Rascals Apeldoorn got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emiliano Caiola ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Zebastian Bergfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan de Vlieger took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4.
