With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastian Villa might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Betão Pontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Villa ran back to his position shaking his head. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. In the 47th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezary Kasiewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. After 65 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Betão Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Honduras's attentive Christian Sancho managed to snatch the ball when Zbyszko Kasiewski made a throw-in in the 68th minute of the game. After some careless play in the GKS Katowice defense, Luca Espinar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betão Pontes. The GKS Katowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betão Pontes should have stopped the shot. Edmundo Espiga did an outstanding performance 76 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-4 to the right of an irritated Betão Pontes in the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Witomir Misiorowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GKS Katowice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Witomir Misiorowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Esteban Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Dominik Brysz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Honduras's Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 89th minute of play forced GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Betão Pontes. Betão Pontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezary Kasiewski in the 94th minute of the match. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucjan Werra in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Honduras left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GKS Katowice.
