Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulises Selmo in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Oğuz Develi in the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Ahmet Oğuz Develi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balboa A.f.c.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Oğuz Develi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ulises Selmo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 31 minute of play. In the 35th minute of the game Mário Moreira made a throw-in which Ramiro Mannuel played forward. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Leonides Larpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulises Selmo made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulises Selmo in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Selmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54thth minute of the game Ulises Selmo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remy Uytdebroeck in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Ulises Selmo sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Selmo in the 65th minute of play. Leonides Larpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 69th minute of the match. Ulises Selmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Balboa A.f.c. had won after a very even match.
