Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Harry Boumans made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Almstedt in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Erik Åhlberg having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Almstedt in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bo Eriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils-Erik Åhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Harry Boumans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Runa United's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Boumans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play forced Runa United's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Åhlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Boumans in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils-Erik Åhlberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the game, Harry Boumans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nils-Erik Åhlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Boumans took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Runa United's Ted Almstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nils-Erik Åhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Joel Andreasson kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Runa United's Harry Boumans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. In the 79th minute of the match Runa United got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matthias Lundin ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Runa United's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Åhlberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 91 played minutes Runa United got a freekick which was hit by Joel Andreasson. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Runa United were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
