Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Aquilino Damásio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Camilo Gisbert in the 30 minute of the game. After 33 minutes, Marcelo Gallarde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hala Madrid Iraki FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Felix Montenegro played forward. Ruben Montez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. During the 43rd minute of the match Marcelo Gallarde completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marcelo Gallarde a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Hala Madrid Iraki FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Marcelo Gallarde hit a great ball. In the 47th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Jaime Egaña tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Montenegro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruben Montez. That made the score 1-1 in the 56 minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute of the game Felix Montes made a throw-in which Felix Montenegro played forward. In the 72nd minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Felix Montenegro played forward. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Hala Madrid Iraki FC made a substitution. Stefan Danielsson replaced Valentin Axelsson. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruben Montez came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 78th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquilino Damásio kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Ruben Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 87th minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Agustín Saelices as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. André Kuipers kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hala Madrid Iraki FC.
