Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Selmo's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Balboa A.f.c.'s Ulises Selmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 23rd minute of play forced Balboa A.f.c.'s goalkeeper Leonides Larpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay's Francisco Seco was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 26th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Ulises Selmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The crowd rose to their feet as Balboa A.f.c.'s Ulises Selmo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-4 after 70 minutes of play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Balboa A.f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Mannuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balboa A.f.c.'s Leonides Larpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 73rd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Selmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Ulises Selmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Covarrubias was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulises Selmo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remy Uytdebroeck in the 97th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Oğuz Develi couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Balboa A.f.c. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
