Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elano Reis got the match started through his kick off. After 2 played minutes S.C. Reis United got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Lago. After 8 minutes of play, S.C. Reis United's Elano Reis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amadeu Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Trancoso came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natanael Maranhense hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The long shot by Axel Tasis in the 17th minute really tested João Paulo Urbano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 19th minute Luisinho Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Reis in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Reis came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Reis United's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Urbano came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elano Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of S.C. Reis United booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Elano Reis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 47 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa.

After recieving a nice pass, S.C. Reis United's Clóvis Nunes tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Urbano having to interfere. Elano Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Trancoso in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Luisinho Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd play minute Elano Reis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 0-3. João Paulo Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Paulo Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When Clóvis Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Reis United's protests and gave Clóvis Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. Costa Rica made a substitution. Alfredo Zoido replaced Eliseo Noboa. A collision led to S.C. Reis United getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Clóvis Nunes hit a great ball. Paulo Renato Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.C.
