The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dario Hussain got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Hernán Leandro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leon Platense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 7 minutes, Matias Sengrat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leon Platense and the Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 7 played minutes Leon Platense got a freekick which was hit by Matias Sengrat. Leon Platense's Ruperto Rainerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 14th minute of play. Dario Hussain succeeded in the game's 17th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Gaafar Carrillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Leon Platense's goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Matias Sengrat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Platense's Ruperto Rainerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Fontirroig in the 25th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Hernán Leandro sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Hernán Leandro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 29 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Constantino Anaya who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Chile's goalie and right to Gaafar Carrillo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Chile's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 32nd minute Dario Hussain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Lacasa. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 41st minute of play forced Leon Platense's goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 43rd minute of play forced Leon Platense's goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes, Pedro Indiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Leon Platense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leon Platense made a substitution. Gonzalo Adrio replaced Matias Sengrat. After 48 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Indiano. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Leon Platense's Dario Hussain in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. Mariano Lacasa scored 3-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruperto Rainerio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruperto Rainerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Hussain in the 74th minute of play. After some careless play in the Leon Platense defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Rainerio. The Leon Platense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Rainerio should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Ruperto Rainerio in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruperto Rainerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leon Platense's goalkeeper Ruperto Rainerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruperto Rainerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Indiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute of the match Constantino Anaya sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego skillfully saved the ball. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Leon Platense fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
