Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, FcBludenz's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Abidin Acarbey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abidin Acarbey in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Georg Lainer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gencho Evstatiev in the 24th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Alnis Skarulis in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. In the 27th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abidin Acarbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute of the match. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abidin Acarbey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Abidin Acarbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of play forced FcBludenz's goalkeeper Abidin Acarbey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Abidin Acarbey despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gencho Evstatiev in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abidin Acarbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, FcBludenz's goalkeeper Abidin Acarbey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind FcBludenz's goalkeeper Abidin Acarbey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FcBludenz's Alnis Skarulis got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute, Gencho Evstatiev made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gencho Evstatiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, FcBludenz's goalkeeper Abidin Acarbey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Guillermo Mariano's late challenge caught a FcBludenz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FcBludenz booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes FcBludenz got a freekick which was hit by Gencho Evstatiev. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
