Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Francisco Seco got the match started through his kick off. Allan Larsson made in the 16th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alexander Ingvall. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Blågula BollAtleter's Paul Theissen. But to his dismay, Paul Theissen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 20 played minutes Blågula BollAtleter got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Biörling. Jaime Cazalla shot from long distance in the 20th minute, but Tom Vandendriessche was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Theissen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Paul Theissen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Tom Vandendriessche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 34th minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Theissen in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute Paul Theissen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fritz Högberg hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tom Vandendriessche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Vandendriessche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 46th minute of play. The Uruguay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Blågula BollAtleter were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Theissen made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Theissen. Blågula BollAtleter's Paul Theissen was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 60th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of Blågula BollAtleter booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute Paul Theissen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 67 in the game by Paul Theissen from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. Henry Bergkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tom Vandendriessche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Franco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Theissen in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 79th minute of play forced Blågula BollAtleter's goalkeeper Tom Vandendriessche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Paul Theissen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blågula BollAtleter fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Tom Vandendriessche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kevin Carballal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Uruguay protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kevin Carballal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Henry Bergkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Blågula BollAtleter eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
