Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Stewart Bowden made a throw-in in the 6th minute of the game. Erik Grøneng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Grøneng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costel Pânzariu. In the 25th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Grøneng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Grøneng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 29th minute of play. After 34 played minutes Kjønstad BF got a freekick which was hit by Costel Pânzariu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 35th minute of play forced Kjønstad BF's goalkeeper Erik Grøneng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Eliseo Mina fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erik Grøneng quite easily take care of the ball. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Stewart Bowden made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. The throw-in from Stewart Bowden in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After a rather tough play, Kjønstad BF's Joey Célestin got a free kick in the 44th minute. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Edmílson Prata didn't quite understand what happened when in the 48 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raymond Engevik to strike the kick off in the second half. Kjønstad BF's Erik Grøneng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Kjønstad BF from getting a goal against them. Alonso Berganza got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Moises Gayoso. Peru were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Kjønstad BF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Moises Gayoso managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Erik Grøneng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 74th minute of the match. Kjønstad BF made a substitution. Damian Dino replaced Wang Fei Xing. In the 79th minute, Damian Dino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kjønstad BF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Erik Grøneng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89thth minute of the game Damian Dino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thor Gaarder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Erik Grøneng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kjønstad BF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Peru had controlled the match.
