Paraguay's Jaime Pardo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Amine Philibert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amine Philibert in the 7th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amine Philibert in the 8th minute of play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute Amine Philibert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amine Philibert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Sanz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amine Philibert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Ground Control's Amine Philibert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Amine Philibert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. After 32 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Pardo. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Ground Control was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Trefzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amine Philibert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. 37 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Amine Philibert came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Amine Philibert put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. Ivan Prats made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ground Control's Jacques Greff. When Anton Karakevych came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ground Control fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Karakevych couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amine Philibert in the 53rd minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Amine Philibert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores. Amine Philibert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. 63 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Karakevych came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute, Amine Philibert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amine Philibert who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Amine Philibert sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Amine Philibert sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ground Control had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
