In the 30th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Ioan Papadima. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 35th minute of play forced GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper Ioan Papadima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ioan Papadima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 41st minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Ioan Papadima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pavel Tăutu to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Tafalla could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Ioan Papadima however easily saved by the left post. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper Ioan Papadima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Paul Beniuc shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Lacasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GoooooooooooooooooooooooL reached it. After having played for 64 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Ioan Papadima in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Ioan Papadima however easily saved by the left post. 76 minutes into the match, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper Ioan Papadima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Ioan Papadima was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Tafalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 82 minute of play. Ioan Papadima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ioan Papadima saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 89th minute. Facundo Cadaval was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ioan Papadima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
