With a little luck, Predators's Semir Jakubović got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Predators's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Semir Jakubović was a little too slow when Joel Gaona got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Bojanowski in the 34th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyryl Bojanowski in the 45th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çakır Baycan in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Cyryl Bojanowski took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 59 minutes into the game, Predators's Çakır Baycan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. A hard shot 66 in the game by Cyryl Bojanowski from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. The supporters of Mexico booed when Predators was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamit Babürşah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Semir Jakubović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 72nd minute of the match. Predators's Marcel Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute Marcel Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamit Babürşah kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Semir Jakubović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 81st minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çakır Baycan in the 82nd minute of the match. Semir Jakubović came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The corner led Predators's Cyryl Bojanowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cyryl Bojanowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Predators's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
