After 6 played minutes FC Toho got a freekick which was hit by Sam Son. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Glöden. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Toho's Tobias Glöden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Jakop Sveinlaugsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Toho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After 13 played minutes FC Toho got a freekick which was hit by Jakop Sveinlaugsson. Mexico's attentive Facundo Cadaval managed to snatch the ball when Qi Sang Xiang made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Tobias Glöden threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feng Lin Jie in the 23rd minute of play. Tobias Glöden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Tobias Glöden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Toho's Arne Rott got a free kick in the 40th minute. Kristof Dülberg kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Xu Liang made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feng Lin Jie in the 52nd minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feng Lin Jie in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, FC Toho's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Tobias Glöden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lorenzo Cazalla the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mexico protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lorenzo Cazalla had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, FC Toho's Xu Liang got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dante Lacasa. If Xu Liang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Toho getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Feng Lin Jie hit a great ball. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Glöden having to interfere. In the 79th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Glöden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feng Lin Jie in the 95th minute. Although Mexico had been in control for most of the match, FC Toho still came away with the win.
