The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Vendel Sass tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Vendel Sass reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Márton Tököli hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vendel Sass skillfully saved the ball. In the 24th minute Alex Zádori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Károly Szepesvári didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gedeon Fenyves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Károly Szepesvári in the 31st minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Zádori, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Zádori in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Gedeon Fenyvess short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vendel Sass breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE's goalkeeper Vendel Sass, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Levente Pucheli's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dávid Győrfi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Zádori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes in the game, Daniel Zorita dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE's Levente Pucheli got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Gedeon Fenyves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márton Tököli to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Alex Zádori ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Vendel Sass didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Alex Zádori scored 2-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Lengyeltóti Örömfoci SE support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
