Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jaime Pardo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo Granja in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A sloppy throw-in by Clemente Ricart in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Ivan Prats. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Telmo Granja put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. The audience was convinced that Jaime Pardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerardo Galo was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Galo having to interfere. The long shot by Primitivo Escribano in the 57th minute really tested Gerardo Galo's skills. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Garci came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Granja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65thth minute of the game Jaime Pardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quirós's Gerardo Galo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Mede in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, Quirós's Gerardo Galo got control of the ball when Jaime Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Desiderio Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Telmo Granja sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. After a defensive mix-up in Quirós's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Galo came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Hector Covarrubias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gerardo Galo. The goal made the score 2-2. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Desiderio Mede kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Quirós's Telmo Granja got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Generoso Sadurni hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Jaime Pardos short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Gerardo Galo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
