The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ponticella Stars's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Costel Cotuțiu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Cláudio Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Edgar Sigfridsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute Cedric Marmara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Ponticella Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Corbu to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ponticella Stars.
