When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joselito Gimenez made a kick off. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After 87 minutes of play, THE LEGEND COME BACK's Noel Buhagiar made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Illescas scored 3-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Habib Kutuner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Noel Buhagiar hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes, Tomas Illescas mouthed his way into the referee's book.
