The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Ignacio Di Stasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 5th minute of the match. Isótopos V.M. were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Taribo West took the corner. The corner ended in Taribo West almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but USA's Marco Day did a great save. When Isótopos V.M.'s Domingo Oihenarte in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye USA's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Isótopos V.M. defense, Cassius Byrne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignacio Di Stasi. The Isótopos V.M. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignacio Di Stasi should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Isótopos V.M.'s goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Ignacio Di Stasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monty Rogers spun around in front of the goal 13 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Isótopos V.M.'s goal. After some careless play in the USA defense, Pedro Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albeiro Usuriaga in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match Isótopos V.M. got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Taribo West ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Isótopos V.M.'s Taribo West to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Taribo West hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Isótopos V.M.'s Ignacio Di Stasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Albeiro Usuriaga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Domingues to strike the kick off in the second half. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. Isótopos V.M. made a substitution. Fulgencio Matia replaced Jonatan Maidana. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ignacio Di Stasi made a huge save. Taribo West sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. In the 84th minute of the match, Jacob May got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ignacio Di Stasi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Isótopos V.M.'s Albeiro Usuriaga. But to his dismay, Albeiro Usuriaga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. A throw-in in the 89th minute of the game was made by Jenson Smith with Khalid Parry as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The Isótopos V.M. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
