An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Lluciano in the 4th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filiberto Indartsu made a great header on Piquirenda FC's corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. After 10 played minutes Piquirenda FC got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Rune Wennerlund. After having played for 13 minutes, Eugenio Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Bernal in the 23rd minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Piquirenda FC's goalkeeper Didi Papardelas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Carballar. Didi Papardelas made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Abram Sarmiento sent off a good shot on target. In the last second Didi Papardelas throw himself and got hold of the ball when Abram Sarmiento in the 41stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didi Papardelas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Bernal came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match Silvain Ries shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Manzanares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eugenio Bernal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piquirenda FC made a substitution. Severiano Ibañez replaced Cayetano Lluciano. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Eugenio Bernal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 56th minute, Eugenio Bernal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Piquirenda FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Eugenio Bernal came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Piquirenda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugenio Bernal couldn't finish the play. In the 64th play minute Eugenio Bernal came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedro Manzanares. 1-2. In the 68th minute Eugenio Bernal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Silvain Ries was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piquirenda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colombia the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Piquirenda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvain Ries to maneuver through the defense. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Samuel Navarro got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kevin Mastache. In the 80th minute, Eugenio Bernal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Colombia! The goalkeeper, Pedro Manzanares, was totally fooled by Piquirenda FC's Eugenio Bernal, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Didi Papardelas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugenio Bernal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 2-4 in the 91 minute of play. Piquirenda FC's Didi Papardelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Piquirenda FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
