Curicó-Unido's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodolfo Abalos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Ángel Folch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Checa in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Higinio Romano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Volvio Moreno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Ángel Folch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Abalos in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Marcel Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alonso Dietert came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Curicó-Unido fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonso Dietert couldn't finish the play. Ángel Folch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Mano in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Ambrosio Mano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ángel Folch was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Ángel Folch came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Volvio Moreno's Prudencio Rodas. But to his dismay, Prudencio Rodas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. After 38 played minutes Curicó-Unido got a freekick which was hit by Pacífico Benoit. 41 minutes into the match, Higinio Romano notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Curicó-Unido's Ángel Folch. Ángel Folch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 44 minutes of play, Volvio Moreno's Rodolfo Abalos made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ángel Folch was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-10 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alonso Dietert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Curicó-Unido's Ángel Folch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Abalos in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Volvio Moreno's Matias Checa got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ángel Folch made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Matias Checa sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the game, Ambrosio Mano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Ángel Folch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Volvio Moreno's Higinio Romano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ángel Folch. That made the score 0-12 after 59 minutes of play. In the 62nd minute, Matias Checa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ángel Folch. The goal made the score 0-13. Abdón Guerola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Volvio Moreno's Baldomero Martinez got a free kick in the 66th minute. Ángel Folch made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Matias Checa sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Curicó-Unido's Pacífico Benoit got a free kick in the 71st minute. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Baldomero Martinez took a quick shot and it went in 0-14 without a chance for Ángel Folch to make any attempt to save it. Anier Venceslao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdón Guerola in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Higinio Romano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ángel Folch. The goal made the score 0-15. Ángel Folch was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodolfo Abalos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-16 in the 81 minute of play. Rodolfo Abalos charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Abalos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Curicó-Unido booed when Volvio Moreno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Abalos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Ángel Folch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Higinio Romano. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
