The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Slawomir Koczara got in the 4th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Karl-Oskar Odén handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The supporters of Halcones Azules booed when Hammer Zdanów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacek Wozniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abelardo Artizar fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halcones Azules's protests and gave Abelardo Artizar a yellow card for diving instead. Abelardo Artizar hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 12 played minutes Hammer Zdanów got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Wasikowski. Hammer Zdanów's Beniamin Balkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Kauldi in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Radowit Burufski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammer Zdanów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radowit Burufski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmund Bielejewski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Karl-Oskar Odén when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 27th minute Hammer Zdanów were awarded a corner. Jacek Wozniak went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Hammer Zdanów getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Edmund Bielejewski hit a great ball. Fausto Salvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beniamin Balkiewicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Pankracy Rywin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammer Zdanów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pankracy Rywin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th match minute, Hammer Zdanów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Wasikowski to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Salvino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Salvino made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Marek Grunwalski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Artizar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 59 played minutes Hammer Zdanów got a freekick which was hit by Slawomir Koczara. A hard shot by Abelardo Artizar from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Beniamin Balkiewicz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Hammer Zdanów's Beniamin Balkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Ticho in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Pankracy Rywin made a precise shot to the right of Karl-Oskar Odén. Halcones Azules's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 69 minutes into the match, Hammer Zdanów's goalkeeper Beniamin Balkiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Ticho. Augusto Ticho shot from long distance after 77 played minutes, a shot that Beniamin Balkiewicz with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Beniamin Balkiewicz was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Lázaro Navarro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lázaro Navarro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Donato Baleren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Beniamin Balkiewicz made a huge save. Halcones Azules's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
