Ángel Folch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ángel Folch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Oto in the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Joaquin Gumaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ilulea FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Ángel Folch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Gumaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Alfred Springfält's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ángel Folch was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Curicó-Unido defense, Alfred Springfält kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ángel Folch. Ángel Folch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Springfält, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Curicó-Unido's Ángel Folch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordie Ortigoza in the 40th minute of play. Ángel Folch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfred Springfält went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Ángel Folch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Oto in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Ilulea FC's Gualterio Oto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ángel Folch. That made the score 0-9 after 52 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Gualterio Oto took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Ángel Folch to make any attempt to save it. Ángel Folch was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gualterio Oto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 59 minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Alfred Springfält cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-12. Ángel Folch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfred Springfält could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Ángel Folch made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Gordie Ortigoza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Curicó-Unido's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquin Gumaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-17. Ángel Folch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Springfält in the 94th minute. Joaquin Gumaro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Ángel Folch skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ilulea FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
