After 14 minutes of play, Volvio Moreno's Prudencio Rodas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Oskar Odén was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodolfo Abalos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Oskar Odén read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Virgilio Rocendo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lázaro Navarro's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Volvio Moreno's Prudencio Rodas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Oskar Odén narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Prudencio Rodas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Karl-Oskar Odén was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31stth minute of the game Rodolfo Abalos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Halcones Azules's Karl-Oskar Odén was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Volvio Moreno getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Santos Silviano hit a great ball. A hard shot by Ramiro Mogel from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Virgilio Rocendo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Halcones Azules fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! In the 43rd match minute, Volvio Moreno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Silviano to maneuver through the defense. Halcones Azules's Lázaro Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Volvio Moreno were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Abalos to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Remigio Santiago almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Halcones Azules's Karl-Oskar Odén did a great save. In the 54th minute Rodolfo Abalos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Oskar Odén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Halcones Azules booed when Volvio Moreno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrosio Mano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Volvio Moreno's zone, Lázaro Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Rocendo came out of the goal and Lázaro Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Wilfredo Naelio made a precise shot to the right of Virgilio Rocendo. Volvio Moreno's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Halcones Azules's Donato Baleren was substituted for Abelardo Artizar. Virgilio Rocendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Navarro in the 78th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fidel Oalo in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgilio Rocendo saved Volvio Moreno from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lázaro Navarro in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Rocendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd match minute, Volvio Moreno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Martinez to maneuver through the defense. Virgilio Rocendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Navarro in the 93rd minute of play. After 93 played minutes Volvio Moreno got a freekick which was hit by Matias Checa. In the 95th minute Lázaro Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Rocendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Volvio Moreno's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
