After 27 minutes of play, Flamengo de San Blás's Wiliam Lozano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flamengo de San Blás's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisito Gar ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Barsa FC's Dick Lundström to fire away a dangerous shot which Sergio Peralta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wiliam Lozano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Mamon Bo Qamaz fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo de San Blás's protests and gave Mamon Bo Qamaz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Barsa FC booed when Flamengo de San Blás was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mamon Bo Qamaz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
