After 5th play minutes Rick Grimes shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ángel Folch and just under the crossbar into goal. The Les 3 Quilles FC fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Les 3 Quilles FC's Jules Spinelli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 14 minutes into the game, Jules Spinelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ángel Folch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jules Spinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute Jules Spinelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ángel Folch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes of play, Les 3 Quilles FC's Rick Grimes made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ángel Folch was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Curicó-Unido getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Marcel Linhares hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the game, Aílton Zonta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Ángel Folch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sansón Atienza charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sansón Atienza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd match minute, Curicó-Unido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sansón Atienza to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Grimes in the 33rd minute of play forced Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Ángel Folch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jules Spinelli scored 0-8 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ángel Folch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ángel Folch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbyszek Kapelski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ángel Folch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rick Grimes went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. 45 minutes into the match, Curicó-Unido's goal looked a bit too open when Jules Spinelli came free, but Ángel Folch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Les 3 Quilles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdón Guerola came free, but Bat Man reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-9 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jules Spinelli to make the kick off. Ángel Folch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszek Kapelski, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Rick Grimes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Ángel Folch made a huge save.
