Froilan Jerrold was slow to take the kick. During this time Halcones Azules's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Halcones Azules getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ricardo Kauldi hit a great ball. Halcones Azules's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ströms Diamonds the free kick. Oscar Igelström got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-0 in the right cross in the 30th match minute before Karl-Oskar Odén had time to react. Ströms Diamonds's Herman Lindberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ricardo Kauldi, made in the 33rd minute of the game. After having played for 39 minutes, Fausto Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Halcones Azules's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Salvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Halcones Azules's Fausto Salvino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arne Magnusson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Halcones Azules's zone, Aaron Zander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Oskar Odén came out of the goal and Aaron Zander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After a rather tough play, Ströms Diamonds's Olle Haegg got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Aaron Zander fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ströms Diamonds's protests and gave Aaron Zander a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ströms Diamonds booed when Halcones Azules was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Salvadore didn't get a good kick on the ball.
