Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Palestra14's Fausto Fioriti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Palestra14's Frits Heinel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 8th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Cain Vieri came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Palestra14 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cain Vieri couldn't finish the play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Palestra14 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cain Vieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Palestra14 getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Attilio Penna hit a great ball. The supporters of Palestra14 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41stth minute of the game Cain Vieri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gianluigi Lentini made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Attilio Torelli immediately put the ball in play. In the 46th minute, Attilio Penna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra14's Frits Heinel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Frits Heinel made a huge save. Attilio Penna hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Fioriti in the 77th minute of the match. Attilio Penna made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gianluigi Lentini however managed to control. In the 86th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frits Heinel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cain Vieri in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Fioriti in the 93rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Palestra14 support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
