Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Vinnie Jones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Fausto Fioriti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 9thth minute of the game Fausto Fioriti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Fausto Fioriti took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Attilio Penna hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Dennis Del Vecchio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palestra14's Frits Heinel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. Frits Heinel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the game, Cain Vieri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestra14's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Palestra14 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cain Vieri to maneuver through the defense. Frits Heinel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Palestra14's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palestra14's Frits Heinel did a great save. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 42 played minutes, Palestra14's Emanuele Bartolomucci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palestra14 reached it. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frits Heinel. Frits Heinel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cain Vieri to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuele Bartolomucci was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 57th match minute, Palestra14 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuele Bartolomucci to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frits Heinel having to make a save. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Attilio Penna with Gianluigi Lentini as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cain Vieri in the 65th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Fausto Fioriti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra14's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Fioriti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 71 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Cain Vieri scored 2-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Cain Vieri put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
