Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 13th minute of the match, Bolo Bolaño tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bolo Bolaño took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Santana in the 19th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 3-0 after 19 minutes of play. In the 23rd minute Javier Betadur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Cotilla. That made the score 4-0 after 25 minutes of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Santana. After 47 minutes of play, Consejo del Mate's Fagildo Pamanes made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bolo Bolaño to make the kick off. Julio Kemen took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Consejo del Mate's Aquiles Cordero took a good shot, in the 59th minute, which hit the crossbar above Marcos Cotilla's head, and flew over the goal. Panama's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Consejo del Mate. Bolo Bolaño took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 63 minutes into the game, Štefan Hlavica was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Consejo del Mate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. In the 66th minute, Javier Betadur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidoro Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Peyo Fonelleda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Kemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Kemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Peyo Fonelleda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Peyo Fonelleda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bolo Bolaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Consejo del Mate were the better team. Consejo del Mate's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
