With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 4 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Nathaniel Burnett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 8thth minute of the game Nathaniel Burnett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute Edward Mcdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, USA's Monty Rogers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidney Motta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Sidney Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 30th minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute of the match Pedro Luís Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Day skillfully saved the ball. Sidney Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 40th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Monty Rogers sped through Imbituba - FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sidney Motta. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Sidney Motta made a huge save. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Sidney Motta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Imbituba - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathaniel Burnett in the 65th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidney Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jenson Smith in the 69th minute of the match. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ersan Ergüleç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Sidney Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalid Parry in the 86th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, USA's Khalid Parry nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidney Motta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Sidney Motta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Campbell in the 95th minute. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Imbituba - FSCMZ throughout the match.
