Otto Kaxe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Georg Moberg got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Edvin Melhus came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Black is Back's Otto Kaxe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After 56 minutes, Carl Eckegren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black is Back and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The corner ended in Gugu Goiano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georg Moberg in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute of play forced Black is Back's goalkeeper Kristóf Balázs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Otto Kaxe kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Otto Kaxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
