Jacobo Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes in the game, Eliseo Rufio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Azevedo having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Trocha Media FC's Silvestre Hustaz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. A sloppy throw-in by Florentino Llin in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. Jonathan Venegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jacobo Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Rufio, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseo Rufio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Florentino Llin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacobo Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 56th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Rufio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Azevedo having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Rufio in the 67th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Eliseo Rufio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobo Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ambrosio Tauro struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trocha Media FC. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jacobo Azevedo made a huge save. If Eliseo Rufio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Rufio in the 94th minute of play. Venezuela were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
