Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Sid Lampard sent off a good shot on target. STARS TEAM's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Esteban Paredes in the 15th minute. STARS TEAM's Ateş Rahim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 19th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes STARS TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Qiao Kang Yi. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ateş Rahim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sid Lampard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 37 played minutes STARS TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Güral Usalan. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gisbert during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play forced STARS TEAM's goalkeeper Ateş Rahim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ateş Rahim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sid Lampard to make the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qiao Kang Yi in the 59th minute of play. In the 71st minute, STARS TEAM's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Ecuador booed when STARS TEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leszek Galagan didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 94th minute of the match Camilo Gisbert completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Camilo Gisbert a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 93 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the referee blew the final whistle, STARS TEAM could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
