In the 21st minute of the game Petrică Colceriu made a throw-in which Pompiliu Ghiondea played forward. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dacian Cristoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Lautaro Navarro managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Olympic CF's Horaţiu Dijmărescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 62 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64thth minute of the game Ernesto Esposito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 66 played minutes Olympic CF got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Colceriu. In the 71st minute, Moises Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dacian Cristoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dacian Cristoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Cristoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 minutes, Petrică Colceriu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olympic CF and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Olympic CF getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Petrică Colceriu hit a great ball. The Olympic CF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
