Batıkan Tosun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hulk Paraíba in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. єℓє¢тяι¢ ѕнσ¢к тєαм's Fulgencio Berdoi got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, єℓє¢тяι¢ ѕнσ¢к тєαм's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Batıkan Tosun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ecuador booed when єℓє¢тяι¢ ѕнσ¢к тєαм was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Barea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Hulk Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by єℓє¢тяι¢ ѕнσ¢к тєαм's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Batıkan Tosun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Batıkan Tosun in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Batıkan Tosun. Batıkan Tosun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The єℓє¢тяι¢ ѕнσ¢к тєαм fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
