Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aaron Kvist took the kick off in the first half of the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aaron Kvist went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Kvist in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Kennet Bergqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Elliott Levander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 19th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elliott Levander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kennet Bergqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Leeds United FC's Aaron Kvist got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elliott Levander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Börje Lindsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kennet Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Sture Tolsson. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a Leeds United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Stig Rosen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Costa Rica's Benito Sanz didn't even have to move. 59 minutes into the match, Börje Lindsten notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leeds United FC the free kick. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Leeds United FC's Kennet Bergqvist. But to his dismay, Kennet Bergqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 71 minutes into the match, Aaron Kvist notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Leeds United FC's Stig Rosen got a free kick in the 74th minute. Elliott Levander was a little too slow when Axel Tasis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 5-2. After 80 minutes, Alexander Carballo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Leeds United FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. 82 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leeds United FC the free kick. Leeds United FC's Elliott Levander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 86th minute of play. Leeds United FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
