If Hao Yan Ying had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hao Yan Ying in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Günalp Taştan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, 61 PIMMS FC's Hao Yan Ying sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th minute of the match 61 PIMMS FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valentín Montaña ran over to the corner to take the kick. 15 minutes into the game, 61 PIMMS FC's Hao Yan Ying nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Günalp Taştan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Günalp Taştan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hao Yan Ying's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Günalp Taştan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Hao Yan Ying came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hao Yan Ying in the 39th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Hao Yan Ying managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 61 PIMMS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hao Yan Ying was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Hao Yan Ying sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Hao Yan Ying managed to get in a good position for a shot. 61 PIMMS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hao Yan Ying was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kazuo Tachibana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Hao Yan Ying cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 PIMMS FC made a substitution. Yakut Taravet replaced Selman Özçelik. After 73 played minutes 61 PIMMS FC got a freekick which was hit by Yakut Taravet. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Günalp Taştan however easily saved by the left post. After 79 minutes 61 PIMMS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Günalp Taştan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 82nd minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Günalp Taştan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yakut Taravet in the 88th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in 61 PIMMS FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Günalp Taştan came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by 61 PIMMS FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 95thth minute of the game Yakut Taravet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because 61 PIMMS FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
