Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. 24 minutes into the match, Jens Krammer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens Krammer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Steven Schuster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Żywiec's Steven Schuster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jens Krammer in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens Krammer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Francisco Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Steven Schuster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven Schuster made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. After 68 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Cazalla. Roland Hens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens Krammer in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steven Schuster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 79th minute of the match. After 82 played minutes FC Żywiec got a freekick which was hit by Heiko Bauschus. FC Żywiec's Steven Schuster proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save FC Żywiec from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Uruguay booed when FC Żywiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Schulze-Oben didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steven Schuster made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Żywiec the free kick. In the 91st minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 played minutes FC Żywiec got a freekick which was hit by Hans-Dieter Kolb. The supporters of Uruguay booed when FC Żywiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Männel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Cazalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steven Schuster. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Cazalla ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Żywiec could leave the field as winners, despite Uruguay having more of the ball for most of the match.
