Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Laykers's Demetrio Greco. Demetrio Greco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Demetrio Greco came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Ermanno Lalli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Laykers's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Demetrio Greco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Cavanna in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antonello Cesareo was slow to take the kick. During this time Laykers's players had a chance to rest. Lautaro Mancebo scored 3-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demetrio Greco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermanno Lalli in the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Laykers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Pollastrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Cavanna in the 57th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmine Cavanna took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After 59 played minutes Laykers got a freekick which was hit by Carmine Cavanna. 64 minutes into the match, Laykers's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Demetrio Greco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 minutes of play, Laykers's Ermanno Lalli made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Demetrio Greco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Demetrio Greco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demetrio Greco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. The supporters of Laykers booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Antonello Cesareo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laykers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonello Cesareo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
