Tomas Berganza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mateus Neto came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Berganza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateus Neto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mateus Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Berganza made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Miguel Miralles immediately put the ball in play. Mateus Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. GAÚCHO FC's Mateus Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save GAÚCHO FC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of GAÚCHO FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panama:s goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodriguinho Nunes to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 53rd minute of play forced GAÚCHO FC's goalkeeper Mateus Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mateus Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Mateus Neto. GAÚCHO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Dylan Sarmiento scored 7-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateus Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mateus Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 64th minute of play. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Abraham Alguacil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 70thth minute of the game Abraham Alguacil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GAÚCHO FC's Mateus Neto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of GAÚCHO FC's Mateus Neto. Mateus Neto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Panama fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mateus Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 91st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Cambeiro in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateus Neto saved GAÚCHO FC from getting behind. In the 94th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateus Neto was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0.
