Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Geraldo Fernandez got the match started through his kick off. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Queirós having to interfere. Engenheiros da Vila's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Tomas Illescas scored to the left of an out of position Eriberto Queirós, making the score, 1-0. Adriano Panella struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Engenheiros da Vila. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geraldo Fernandez in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Salvador Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Sérgio Jacinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adriano Panella went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Eusébio Castro made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Wesley Salgado immediately put the ball in play. In the 38th minute, Eusébio Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eriberto Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Eriberto Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. If Gernando Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Engenheiros da Vila's goalkeeper Eriberto Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Eriberto Queirós was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match, Wesley Salgado got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a Engenheiros da Vila's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 82 played minutes Engenheiros da Vila got a freekick which was hit by Gernando Sarmento. Flávio Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Engenheiros da Vila's Eusébio Castro got a free kick in the 90th minute. Despite being the better team, Engenheiros da Vila failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
